General Knitting Classes $60

If you have never knit before this is the class for you! This one session class
goes over the basics of knitting.

Learn how to make a cute baby bear as a baby gift or just for a special someone.
There is a sample in the store so you can see this adorable project.

Knitting 201- The Next Steps $20
One time 2 hour class. Supplies not included. This class is for you if you are
ready to add to your skills after taking Beginning Knitting, to remind yourself
of certain techniques, or just add new skills to your repertoire. Pattern reading
and how to read a yarn ball band will be covered. Increasing and decreasing will
be covered if time allows. Bring your questions! Prerequisites: cast on, knit and
purl.

Learn to Crochet $20
Learn the fundamentals of crochet. You will learn how to make a beginning
chain, single crochet and learn all about the basic materials. These techniques
will be put to use in making the essential scarf. No previous experience

Now that you know a little bit about crochet, it's time to expand your
knowledge and explore new possibilities! Dress up your projects with beautiful

Take advantage of this great class and make great spring scarves to accessorize
any outfit.

Magic Loop Socks $50
Socks are a great small project to carry with you on all of your travels. Class
meets for three sessions. All you need is one of our great sock yarns and a
circular needle in the size recommended by the yarn you choose. Knit your
gauge swatches! Prerequisites: You must know how to cast on, knit, purl,
recognize knit and purl stitches and bind off.

Knitting Terminology $20
This one time class will give you the confidence to take on that next great
project. Learn how to read patterns and abbreviations, use special techniques
and learn to knit and measure a gauge swatch properly.

Workshops
Introducing workshops! A one time 2 hour class that will introduce you to
different knitting techniques. We are not doing any particular pattern in these
workshops – just giving tips and tricks to help you advance your knitting.
Cabling Workshop- Feb 11th Thursday 6:30-8:30pm
2 hrs $20 per person
Ever wanted to learn cabling? This workshop will go over basic cables and
pattern/chart reading. We will also go over how adding a cabling will effect or
enhance your finished object. Must be able to Knit, Purl, Cast on and Cast off.
Stranded Colorwork Workshop- Feb 25th Thursday 6:30-8:30pm
2 hrs $20 per person
Are you ready to take the next step– and knit with two colors at the same time?
Have a Fair Isle pattern that you are dying to try? This workshop will go over
two handed colorwork knitting, reading colorwork charts, and how to avoid
puckering in your finished object. This class will also go over terminology and
how tips and tricks on how to avoid long ‘floats’. Must be able to comfortably
Knit, Purl, Cast on and Cast off.
Chart Reading Workshop- Feb 4th Thursday 6:30-8:30pm
2 hrs $20 per person
This workshop will go over how to read a chart, work from a chart, and some
tips to help you knit successfully from a cable, lace, or colorwork chart.
Continental Knitting Workshop- March 11th Thursday 6:30-8:30pm
2 hrs $20 per person
If you are an English knitter or a ‘thrower’ you hold the working yarn in your
Right hand to knit. This class will go over how to knit continentally, that is
holding the yarn in your left hand. This technique can be faster for some
people. Also if you know how to knit continental stranded colorwork is a
breeze. Must be able to comfortably Knit, Purl, and Cast on.

So you've learned to knit and have made your share of scarves? Want to knit something other than a square or rectangle? Then this class is for you! You
will learn how to increase and decrease including but not limited to : k2tog, ssk, m1, yo and kf&b. You will also learn alternative methods of casting on.
You must know how to cast on, knit, purl and recognize knit and purl stitches.

Learn to Knit Cables
Expand your pattern skills by creating beautiful cables for your scarves, sweaters, afghans and bags! You will learn how to knit basic Left Cross and
Right Cross cables using charted as well as written instructions. You must know how to cast on, knit, purl and recognize knit and purl stitches.

new techniques you will be sure to have a great time with fellow students
and staff as you knit your way to happiness.

Registration Policies 1) Class size is determined by teacher. 2) Classes fill quickly. Please sign up and pay in advance to ensure your enrollment. 3) Payment is due upon registration and is required to hold your place. 4) There will be no refunds given for missed classes. 5) If a class needs to be rescheduled due to weather or instructor’s illness every effort will be made include everyone in the make-up class. 6) If you must cancel your registration no refund will be given unless there is someone to take your place. 7) No refunds after a class starts.
We may have to reschedule a class due to inclement weather or because of instructor illness. The instructor will make every attempt to reschedule for a time that is convenient for everyone. Enrollment takes place with the full payment of the class fee. We cannot hold spaces without payment. You may pay by credit card over the phone. Please know that even though there may be space in a class at one moment, and hour later it may fill. CHECK YOUR CALENDERS!! Refunds will not be given within two weeks of the beginning of class. Should a student be unable to attend a class, and notifies us less than two weeks before the class begins, a refund will be given only if the class is full AND their space in the class can be filled by a new student. (The more notice you give about cancelling, the better we may be able to sell the space. Calling the day of the class does not work.) Refunds will be given should a class cancel due to lack of enrollment. YARN for classes MUST be purchased from yarns etc... or Great Yarns. THERE ARE NOT ANY MAKEUP CLASSES. Teachers are paid with tuition monies whether or not students attend a class.
