Beginning Knitting $55 inclusive
Learn the basic techniques of knitting, purling, casting on and binding off with a simple sampler scarf,
before you begin your first sweater. Fee for this two week class includes; tuition, beginning reference
book, yarn, needles and a gauge ruler.

Beginning Crochet $55 inclusive
Learn the basic techniques of crochet - making a chain, learning single and double crochet, etc. Fee for
this two week class includes: tuition, beginning reference book, yarn, hook and gauge ruler.
Wednesday (Evening) - August 13 & 20
Crochet Granny Squares $35
Expand your crochet skills into Granny Squares! This class will take the basics up to new levels of color
and technique. Create classic blankets, scarves and beyond.
Wednesday (Evening) - August 6
First Sweater Class $65
Increase your skills and knit your first sweater! You will learn how to: read and follow your pattern,
shape your knit piece, pick up stitches, finish your sweater, care for and correct errors. This is a 6
session class. Prerequisites: You must be able to cast on, knit, purl, bind off and recognize knit and purl
stitches.
Monday (Evening) - August 18, 25, September 8, 15, 22 & 29
Baby Surprise Jacket $50
Learn to make the classic Baby Surprise Jacket. This sweater is knit using only garter stitch and all in
one piece! There are no side or armhole seams to sew. Sew two straight seams across the shoulders
and you are done! The perfect baby sweater! This class is for enthusiastic beginners and more
experienced knitters will enjoy this extraordinarily clever design by Elizabeth Zimmermann .
Wednesday (Evening) - September 10, 17 & 24
Finishing Class / Help Session $35
Need to sew your sweater together, pick up some stitches or weave in ends? This is the 2 hour session
for you! This is also an appropriate class if you need some other help on your project. Limited to a
maximum of 4 students per session, so you'll get the attention that you need.

Learn to Knit Cables! $35
Expand your pattern skills by creating beautiful cables for your scarves and or sweaters, not to mention
afghans as well! You will learn how to knit basic Left Cross and Right Cross cables using charted as
well as written directions.

Sock Class $50
Unravel the mysteries of making socks. Class will meet for three sessions, so there is plenty of time to
finish your homework!

Introduction to Lace Knitting $35
Have fun and enhance your knitting skills by learning to knit lace! You will learn basic chart reading and
lace stitches. You will learn to knit with fine yarns on small needles. Skill level- Confident Beginner and
or Intermediate. Prerequisites: You must be able to cast on, knit, purl, bind off and recognize knit and
purl stitches.

Increase it! Decrease it! Shape it! $35
So you've learned to knit and have made your share of scarves? Want to knit something other than a
square or rectangle? Then this class is for you! You will learn how to increase and decrease, including
but not limited to: k2tog, ssk, m1, yo and kf&b. You will also learn alternative methods of casting on.
Prerequisites: You must be able to cast on, knit, purl, bind off and recognise knit and purl stitches.
Materials for class: a light colored skein of yarn and needles of appropriate size for that yarn.

| REGISTRATION POLICIES: We may have to reschedule a class due to inclement weather or because of instructor illness. The instructor will make every attempt to reschedule for a time that is convenient for everyone. Enrollment takes place with the full payment of the class fee. We cannot hold spaces without payment. You may pay by credit card over the phone. Please know that even though there may be space in a class at one moment, and hour later it may fill. CHECK YOUR CALENDERS!! Refunds will not be given within two weeks of the beginning of class. Should a student be unable to attend a class, and notifies us less than two weeks before the class begins, a refund will be given only if the class is full AND their space in the class can be filled by a new student. (The more notice you give about cancelling, the better we may be able to sell the space. Calling the day of the class does not work.) Refunds will be given should a class cancel due to lack of enrollment. YARN for classes MUST be purchased from Great yarns. THERE ARE NOT ANY MAKEUP CLASSES. Teachers are paid with tuition monies whether or not students attend a class. Great Yarns classes are currently not offered to children. |
